Pups Hit Maiden 1st XI Fifties
Posted by Eversholt Cricket Club on 25 May 2011
17-year old Jack Fuller smashed 51 against London Colney (14th May) to rescue Eversholt from 65-5 to 211-7 after 53 overs. After representing Bedfordshire through the age groups, his long-awaited half-century in 1st XI cricket should see him push on for even bigger scores in the near future.
19-year old Rob Garratt paid back the faith put in his selection for the 1st XI this week (21st May) with a Chris Tavare-esque 55 from well over 100 balls to take Eversholt from 23-5 to 165-9 to win against Potters Bar. Rob was well supported by 17-year old Lewis Perrin (48) who batted for well over 2 hours to rescue all 30 points for the Boars.
Resident Australian, David Goltz, also hit his maiden half-century (54) for the Club against London Colney in a spirited stand with Jack.
The future looks very bright for the Club. Keep up the good work boys!
