23-year old Australian, David Goltz, has agreed to join Eversholt for the 2011 season as the club's overseas Player / Coach.
David is a 6ft 3in opening bowler who regularly hits 80mph, giving him good bounce and carry. He currently plays 1st Grade cricket for the Frenchville Falcons and is also a focal part of the Rockhampton Representative Team and Central Queensland Representative Team. David is also a hard-hitting middle-order batsman with 81 runs off of 39-balls to his name in a recent Twenty20 Final.
Upon joining, David said:
"I can't wait to join Eversholt CC for the 2011 season. To play abroad has been something I have wanted to do for a few years now and I couldn't be happier that you are giving me the chance. For my sport to be able to take me to a different country to play and meet new people is unreal. It's a privilege that I will be able to coach, share my knowledge and give something back to the club. While I am there I want to play the best cricket I can and meet some great people who I hope will become good mates."
David's coaching qualifications will see him play a significant part in both Junior and Senior coaching.
David will be joined by his partner, Aleesha, during his spell with the club and we'd like to wish them every success both on and off the field.
