New Captains for 2012

Steve Litchfield has formerly stood down as captain of the Club's 1st XI. After four years at the helm, Steve felt the time had come to for the team to gain a new direction with a hungry, young side now seeking promotion and silverware. Steve will continue to play a pivotal role in the 1st XI as vice-captain. Ben Nichols will take over captaincy of the 1st XI in 2012 in what will be his third season at the Club. The side will push for promotion from the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League Division Three.

Paul Litchfield has also stood down as 2nd XI captain following two successive promotions for his side. A debilitating nerve injury to Paul's back has cast doubt over the number of games he will be available for next season, and as a result he took the decision to hand over captaincy. Luke Singleton will take over captaincy of the 2nd XI with Dean Lawson remaining as vice-captain. The side are looking to consolidate their new position in the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League Division Six.

James Garratt will continue to lead the Sunday 1st XI following a highly successful 2011 Bedfordshire County Cricket League Division One campaign. Jake Nichols will take up the role as vice-captain. Colin Hudson will captain the Cub's new Sunday Development XI in the Bedfordshire County Cricket League Development Division (South).

On behalf of the Club, we'd like to thank Steve and Paul for their hard work and commitment both on and off the field. Both have upheld the Club's values through exemplary leadership and solid performances. We'd also like to wish Ben and Luke every success in their new roles.
