David Jones - Our Condolences

It is with great sadness that I share with Club Members the news that David Jones passed away today after a long and courageous battle with illness. David enjoyed many years association with the Club having been introduced to us by his daughter, Sarah when she first met (and subsequently married) Alan Garratt who was for many years the First XI Captain. David was a keen spectator and became one of our most supportive Vice Presidents. He will be remembered by those of us who knew him for his warmth and friendly, generous manner both on the boundary edge and in the bar.
On behalf of the Club, I would like to record our condolences to Sarah, Alan and all of the Jones family.
David's funeral service will take place on Friday, 23rd March from 11am at St. Boltophs Church, Aspley Guise.
