Boars retain Jubilee T20 Cup!

The 1st XI has retained the Diamond Jubilee Twenty20 Cup!

Eversholt (155-4) chased down Geat Brickhill 1st XI's 154-9 to win their semi-final and progress to the final agaisnt Leighton Buzzard 1st XI. Good bowling from Ricky Holmes (2-12), and Lewis Perrin (4-34) restricted the hosts. Doug Muzawazi then top scored with 59 (46 balls) to see his team home, with good contributions from Jake Nichols (55 from 39 balls) and Jack Fuller (17 from 10 balls). In the final, Eversholt posted an above par score of 179-4 from their 20 overs. Captain Ben Nichols led the way, finishing on 77 not out (58 balls) with brother Jake hitting 64 (36 balls). Tight bowling from James Gage (4-21) and Simon Avis (2-25) restricted Leighton Buzzard to 147-7 and secured victory for the Boars! To see the scorecard in full, please click here.
