Bedfordshire County Cricket League: Rule Changes

Last night's Bedfordshire County Cricket League AGM voted in favour of introducing several new rules for Sunday cricket to bring it in line with the CB40:

  • Panel umpires will now cover all Premier Division and Division One fixtures.
  • Front foot no balls will now result in a free hit in the Premier Division and Division One.
  • Mandatory power-plays must be taken at the beginning and end of each innings in the Premier Division and Division One.
  • 40 overs per side in Division One to Division Five (Premier Division to remain at 45 overs).
  • Maximum of 9 overs per bowler in all divisions.

There are quite a few important changes to take note of here and we'll publish a full set of rules as soon as they become available.
