| Match Report | Eversholt 2nd XI travelled to Southill, on a sunny afternoon, won the toss and elected to bowl first. Eversholt restricted Southill to 163-8 off 40 overs. Mark Ling taking 3-31 and Tom Sibley 3-21 with Gez Gibbs the pick of the batting finishing unbeaten on 60 taking Southill to a competitive yet achievable score with a fastening outfield. In reply, Eversholt had a slow start but not losing a wicket before drinks but with only 50 on the board we had some catching up to do. After drinks the wickets began to fall with no one other than Roger Lewis (36) scoring more than 20 for eversholt. Eversholt were bowled out for 121 off 37.5 overs, the first loss of the season |
